studio2 Animation Lab is from Taiwan, we focus on animation films creating, development and production. studio2 has a new vision and made a new style of Asian animation films. Our films deal with important issues and our animation style is interesting and entertaining . That's the reason our films had many nominations and won many awards in Taiwan, China, Korea and other international animation contest, including 2005 Golden Horse Award for Best Short Film, 2007 Golden Horse Award for Best Visual Effects, 2008 Golden Harvest Award for Best Animated Film, 2009 Best Animation Series of Ayacc Asian Youth Animation & Comics Contest, 2010 Best Children’s Program of Taiwan International Children’s Film Festival, 2010 Best Animation Program of Taiwan 45th Golden Bell Awards, 2011 Best Animation Scene Design of China International Cartoon & Animation Festival, 2011 Best Animation Program of Taiwan 46th Golden Bell Awards, 2011 Special Jury Award of 16th Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival, 2013 Abu Dhabi International Environmental Film Festival, 2014 Animated Series of 10th China Golden Monkey King Award. About Director
現職為studio2導演與台灣台南藝術大學助理教授。
畢業於北京電影學院導演系博士以及台灣台南藝術大學動畫碩士。邱立偉於2003年於美國好萊塢任動畫高級研究員，於2007年受邀擔任美國紐約市駐村藝術家，並於2011年受邀於位於德國的歐洲最大數位動畫盛會FMX發表演講。導演作品多次於國內外影展獲獎與展出，包括2011中國動畫節金猴獎、2012年韓國首爾動畫影展評審團大獎、2010與2012金鐘獎最佳動畫節目、經濟部數位內容產品獎年度最佳動畫產品、提名41屆金馬獎最佳創作短片、44屆金馬獎最佳視覺效果，獲得25屆30屆金穗獎最佳動畫片、台北電影節城市影展首獎、阿布達比影展、波蘭影展競賽片入圍…等等，以及西班牙、法國、德國等歐洲各國動畫影展，並多次獲得國家文化藝術基金會專案視聽媒體藝術獎。此外，影像裝置藝術作品展出於北京中國美術館與美國紐約市法拉盛文協藝術中心。
Li-Wei Chiu, animation film director, is graduated from Tainan National University of the Arts and PH.D of Beijing Film Academy. In 2003, Li Wei Chiu was a senior researcher in Hollywood, and was invited to give a speech in the FMX, the pageant of Europe digital animation in Germany in 2011. The current job is the director of Studio2 animation lab and the assistant professor of Tainan National University of the Arts in Taiwan.
Li-Wei Chiu has produced and designed many animated films and won numerous awards, including the 2011 China International Cartoon & Animation Festival, the 2012 Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival/ Special Jury Award, the 2010 & 2012 Golden Bell Awards / Best Animation Program, Digital Content Product / Best Animation Program, the 41th Golden Horse Award for Best Visual Effects, the 44th Golden Horse Award for Best Short Film, the 2003、2008 Golden Harvest Award for Best Animated Film, the Grand Prize at the Taipei Film Festival, Taipei Film Festival / City Festival First Prize, Abu Dhabi International Environmental Film Festival, Polish Film Festival / Best Animation Award, and its films have been included in competitions at animation festivals in Spain, France, and Germany.Moreover, his image installation arts are exhibited in National Art Museum Of China in Beijing and Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts in New York.
